As of right now, Ball isn't a good/creative enough playmaker or finisher in the half court to be a true lead guard. Doesn't seem to have the aggression or nous for it. Nor is he much good in pick and roll situations which is bread and butter offense in the NBA these days

We have a lot invested in Ball. If they trade one, I don't think we get rid of the other. Now if we trade Ball, I could see us making a move into the top 3-6 to find a lead guard. But if we move Holiday, I think we give Ball another year.
I know I'm one of the only ones, but I love Ball's potential. Van Gundy has a nice history with developing PGs and I think he could help him out big time. People have to temper expectations though. I don't think Ball will ever be an all star. But he can be a solid starter and defensive stand out..
