Again, when Internal Affairs gets involved, and they would, the accused LEO is treated like a criminal. He/she gets questioned as if they have to prove their own innocence. Their bank accts can be subpoenaed, recent purchases verified, etc.

I guarantee you I could spend 125k without Internal Affairs ever sniffing a thing. If I had 125k illegally it's not touching a bank.
