not really deep into the marsh, but the only one I ever caught was 30-35lber at 9 mile bayou. Took me 25 minutes to get him to the boat.

I have never caught one in the marsh, but I have caught a few around Little Lake in Leeville and out in Timbalier bay during the summer months. fun to fight but those bastards will tear up some tackle!!
