Brown anoles are spreading like wildfire. I read some scientific piece on how the brown anoles are carving out a ground-feeding niche, and the green anoles are moving upward into trees and shrubs as a result of pressure from the brown ones. Browns are definitely more territorial, faster moving, and seemingly more agressive. Not nearly as cool looking either as the greens, with their blue eyeshadow and red throat pouches.
