THIS. And I used to be a fan too, but I was quite young and dumb then. That scraggly voice is beyond terrible, from a vocal sense, even if he was in a 'heavier' rock band.
His rendition of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" may be the single worst thing about the Christmas Season in existence. Worse than a couple of my annoying in-laws. It is a truly bad version, and should be permanently retired from the rotation.
On second thought, it may be a tie with "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" by McCartney.

I’m not saying it sucks, but I never saw why everyone was blowing their load over him as someone who was born in the 90’s
