7mm-08 is the one of the best all around caliber. Perfect for anything from deer to black bear and elk. Low recoil. 6.5 creed is also fine. People literally only hate it because of how popular it has become. They have no other reason than they hate how much people have jumped on it in recent years. Completely irrational. And yes, I know 6.5x55 has been getting it done for over 100 years.
