I feel like you are being sarcastic, if not my bad. Obviously one or two times isn't enough to be prepared for anything, but It will give me the opportunity to ride with and see with my own eyes the hazards that are available. Not to mention all the time I will have to ask questions to the captian. Hell I've been to hopedale and pointe aux chenes more than I can count and still don't know all the hazards. Not everyone can or wants to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars per fishing trip to visit an area. That I could go myself for the cost of fuel.

If you have a GPS, some map cards will mark many of the structural hazards like wiers and rock jetties. Navionics has most of them marked. Sandbars are dynamic. Seatow is a requirement for fishing venice IMO. If you fish there enough you will get stuck and you will destroy a lower unit. It happens to experienced guys every day out there.
