Just want to say your kid has a gift to be kicking that far in 8th grade. I didn’t start hitting the end zones on kickoffs ‘til 11th grade. It took me some time to transition from the tee to the ground after high school. I’d definitely recommend a plan to begin the process. Practicing good lift on soccer balls helped me. Flexibility is good, but the straighter he can keep his kicking leg while maintaining good rear extension and follow through the more he’ll be able to drive the football. Weight training is very important. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the typical high school football team regiment with bench, power cleans, squats, deadlifts, leg extensions.
