Better than LA schools. Public wise Anderson and Spartanburg schools are usually ranked higher.

It is in the ice belt so sleet and freezing rain are more common than snow. The area generally doesn't "shut down" for more than a day or two per storm and it only averages maybe one good winter storm a year. Maybe once a decade you get a foot of snow but usually it is an inch or two.
