Demon Souls is the game people should be hyped for.
Most people haven't played it, even a lot of hardcore "Soulsbourne" fans haven't. It was a PS3 exclusive and was the first real Souls game and so it was a completely unknown brand, was a cult game that started the ball rolling and the Souls brand didn't really blow up till Dark Souls.
The original is great to play even to this day, but there was some noticeable jank in it that got cleaned up in the follow ups (the healing system, the world tendency, the item weight, the upgrades, etc.)
All the remake needs to do is recreate the exact same game with those systems revamped.
As long as Blue Point faithfully recreates the experience and it feels like a FromSoftware "Souls" game, it will amazing. I just hope they can nail that feel.
