If he can show in practice and bullpen that he is healthy and has the stamina, he starts. How are you going to recruit elite power arms from your competitors or the MLB if you have a track record of just throwing them to the pen ?

Man they don't give a frick. We're living in the power fastball era. The guy is throwing 98 at LSU. His arse is gonna be fine regardless as a starter or closer.
