My Pops always said, "Don't get a tattoo, boy, you won't be able to work for the Post Office."
I'm still not certain if that was bullshite or not.

I'll put it to you this way:
All things being equal (experience, etc) Someone with no visible ink gets the job before someone with. Wouldn't be the only reason but it is a tie breaker.
I'll trust the judgment of someone with no tats vs with given no other info.
