Im going to tell you ....Hollywood doesnt want this level of scrutiny. It will interesting just how many tv/movie stars/producers take up this tax argument. They absolutely know that their "people" use every deduction available...and in some cases keep two sets of tax records

"Hollywood creative accounting" is real and why productions move state to state like leeches sucking blood from anyone willing to give them tax credits they can use.

It's also why many people that have invested in movies in the past will never do so again. A movie can make billions at the box office but on paper, it loses money and flushes investors out of the profit sharing. They create multiple LLCs to hide profit and shift money around to show losses. It's all legal too. Ethical is another story, though.

Marcus Lemonis, who is a pretty smart investor, has said he will never invest in Hollywood again because of this.
