You would think RGB was the first woman on the Supreme Court with the way some are acting.

She was the first to be liberal.
Listen to black voices, unless they’re conservative.
#metoo unless it’s against a favored democrat

O’Connor was probably Reagan’s biggest mistake.

Doesn't fit the narrative. Dems aren't even honest to themselves.

She’s up there. Another disappointment from AZ.

She is 90 and still going. At least she had the sense to shut it down and walk away.

Second wave feminism was still going strong back in the late 70's and Reagan promised to nominate a female on the campaign trail. Reagan was the kind of guy who kept his promises and she was the best they could find.
She wasn't that bad anyway - a key swing vote in the wrong direction sometimes but solidly conservative on most issues.
If you want to talk about mistakes go look at who Eisenhower appointed. Those liberal tyrants literally re-wrote Constitutional Law and fathered in the the era of modern liberal insanity. Were it not for his service in the war, his down to earth, likable personality and the fact that his administration was blessed with an uncanny period of peace and prosperity largely due to external forces, you could argue that Ike was a terrible President. He played golf and bummed around with friends in high places while left-wing radicals, communists and swamp rats infiltrated every corner of DC.
