Those were some of the very questions I considered when posting this thread. Also, I failed to mention that this is a Standard league. But I can definitely understand why Vick's Kennel Club believed that raising the very question of whether to take Ekeler was absurd.

A lot of people can’t look past the value. You are basically get a running back that was drafted in the first two rounds by dropping a guy that was picked in the middle rounds and I’m not saying that it is a bad move. However, The game is not played on paper and that is not always the best move. There is some serious concerns about ekeler in that offense. You are not going to get the same production from the last few years. On the other hand, LF ran for 1500 total yards last year and is now on a capable offense. Ever year talent always seems to rise in crowded backfields. And if it doesn’t he is still only your rb 4.
