Place was a disgusting dump that I might have stepped in twice in the past 20 years.

That said, I found the existence of the place oddly comforting and reassuring. Scattered 24/7 drinking establishments are as much a part of New Orleans as anything. Instead, looks as though they may all be going the way of the dinosaurs.

Agreed...haven't been there in years, but it stood at a prominent intersection as a reminder of the New Orleans I grew up with. Things began changing after Katrina, but now the neighborhood dive bar, 24/7 bars, and to go cups are now all in serious jeopardy (and under full assault by the governor and mayor).
