I live in the PNW but I am from Georgia and more to the point I am of the south....I am first person in my family to ever leave the south except on military orders and one great uncle who went to Detroit in the great migration and came home as soon as he could afford to do so. I know my fellow white southerners and we are racists. There is no doubt of this....we have it in us. But we ain't nothing like these frickers up here who have, if they were living on the fringe of PNW normalcy, only spoken to a black person maybe 20 minutes a year. They will have more interaction with Hispanics and Asians than this but not much more....nothing like what we have as black and white folks in the south. These white people are as scared of black folks as the average Republican is of everything on earth real or imagined that can get a person. Because they do not know any black people....all they know is that black people are somehow put upon and it ain't right. They can't tell you how black folks are put upon....an honest southerner who is actually a southerner knows all to well how black people are put upon because we have done it our selves and experienced similar things done to us because of our class and station in life.....but white folks in Portland and Seattle and SLC and Pocatello? They don't know any black folks....and the racism they display is far more detrimental than that of southerners against black folks. The people in the PNW seriously think black people are incapable of standing up for themselves!!! That is far more insulting than simply not liking someone because of their skin color....the latter is just stupid, the former is mean spirited. And these white folks are ATE up with it......and rest assured black folks, who are pretty damned good at judging folks and their true intentions, see right through them....thats why so many black people stay in the south....the racism in the south can be dealt with....you can't deal with someone who seriously thinks you are less than human.

Why would they shoot up 90% black areas? A sniper roving around places like Ocean Springs, Madison, Tupelo, Oxford, Hoover, Knoxville, Athens, etc., could completely alter life for 100s of thousands in the South if organized across multiple states.

One of my NCOs is from Atlanta and in his mid-30s (black), he said the racism he's seen near Seattle/Tacoma is the worst he's ever experienced.

I live in Lake Charles near where it was held. The one here was a peaceful protest. No one got out of line or agitated cops and-or non-protesters. I’m sure there were Marxist radicals in the mix but unlike up north, whites and blacks get along just fine in Lake Charles and most other southern cities.
