Alright guys and girls. Need some advice here.

My league is very trade happy during the season. So much that we are now trying to trade draft picks. I'm picking #3 and my potential trading partner is picking #11. Here is the trade offer as it stands right now(has not been accepted yet):

I get:
-Will stay picking #3 through the draft
-Get his 1st round pick, #11 overall
-Get his 6th round pick
-So I will be picking twice in the 1st round and the 6th round

He gets:
-Will stay picking #11 through the draft
-Gets my 2nd round pick, #22 overall
-Gets my 4th round pick
-So he will be picking twice in the 2nd round and the 4th round

Having two first round picks is damn near awesome. However, this trade is killing me bcs he will be picking 5 times among the 2nd to 4th round, while I will not be catching up until the 6th round.

#1. Do you think this is a fair trade?
#2. Who do you think is getting the advantage from this trade?
#3. Do you believe both teams get better as a result of this trade?
#4. Should this trade proposal be modified? If so, how?
#5. Should I accept this trade?

I have no idea what the previous poster said, but I wouldn't do it.

i agree you may get shafted in the wr dept. however, if you pickup two badass rb's in rd 1 you will have somethin to trade with. or you could get one rb and then probably get brady at 11 and take a gamble on rb in the 3rd round with somebody like dmac (not predicted to go very high). this is a risky trade either way. i dono if i'd do it.

eta: also i dono how many ppl are in ur league, but if it's not much more than 11 you really won't gain alot by moving up from 3 in rd 2 to 11 in rd 1. i dont think its worth it.

I am not a fan of trading draft picks for draft picks, so I would not do this, but then again if this is how your league works then go for it. I don't see where it will really help or hurt you.

-12 team league
-Only draft 13 rounds due to smaller bench this year
-Yes, we are doing PPR this year for the first time

Thanks for all of your insights. I just don't like him picking twice in the second, once in the third, and then twice in the fourth. That's 5 picks to my one among those rounds. The really sexy thing about this trade is the #11 pick overall. Could possibly have:

Westbrook/Peterson and TO
Westbrook/Peterson and R Moss
Westbrook/Peterson and Brady
Westbrook/Peterson and Barber

You see my delima?

Sounds like you guys all agree I should just draft as I am.

I see why you're interested, but I don't think I'd do it. You will really be counting on luck to get players in the middle rounds when others have their starters pretty much set. You can't win a league with only two players on your roster. Unless you trade draft position, my advice is not to trade draft picks in individual rounds.

If you decide to do it, I'd take Moss with the second pick.
