You can't bundle trade exceptions with players or other trade exceptions to take on more salary. The trade exception itself needs to be big enough to absorb the salary of the player you're trading for.

You could make a 3 team S&T of Favors with his outgoing salary part of a bigger CP3 deal, but you couldn't do it separately and use a trade exception in his place.
