Nobody said RB’s aren’t worth a 1st round pick and nothing you said disproves what I said about RB’s being easy, or maybe the easiest, to overpay with a big contract.

Only one SB team in the last decade had a heavily invested-in RB, Seattle with Beastmode. And even they struck gold with a rookie QB deal and other major draft hits on rookie deals.

Not saying teams can’t be successful with a highly paid RB, but the most successful teams in recent history apparently haven’t had to.. I like Kamara FWIW and don’t really care if it’s ~$2-$3m more than what the majority thinks he’s “worth”

I wasn’t trying to “disprove” anything you said. I was only expressing my thoughts about running backs getting a bad rap in the NFL. The stats say the average RB gets 3-5 years in the NFL, but that’s the average self life for all positions in the league. If guys are good, they deserve to be paid. QB is the only position that can take a bad team into a new winner’s bracket these days. With that said, if you’re not a QB are you really worth a big contract?
