Funny to come here and see this thread. I just finished a 30 minute rowing workout. I used to row about three days a week, years ago, but I haven't done it since then, so I don't really remember what my times/speeds were.
My friend and I were talking about rowing the other night and I decided I wanted to get back into it a little.
So today, I did 6000m in 30 mins, or 200m/minute. I could have went 40 minutes, but I didn't want to over do my first day.
Is that a decent speed? Or at least a decent speed for someone who hasn't done cardio in a year (just lifting weights)?

That's a decent time for me. However I don't claim to be the world's greatest rower.

that is a 2:30 per 500m and you held it for 30 minutes, so yes, that is a decent speed/time for that distance
if you want something to gauge by, a good time for a 5000m row would be 20 minutes, which is a 2:00 min per 500 m pace
