My take from reading a few articles and watching a couple of clips is that the movie tries to address the issue of hyper sexualization of young girls by hyper sexualizing young girls. The clip I saw was pretty gross and made me feel like I needed to wash my eyes out with bleach.

It’s like if I was against setting puppies on fire (I am) and made a movie where I set a puppy on fire to show you how bad it is. Horrible story telling if you can’t convey your message without showing it so explicitly.

Interesting that the same media that told us that Joker would cause mass shootings and no one should go see it are begging us to go see this movie because of the “nuance”. GTFO.

basically what i was arguing on the previous page

it would be like if requiem for a dream skipped the 2nd half and just ran with the first part when herion made everything great and life was grand. then it ended. would that really be an indictment of using heroin?
