re: Robstown (TX) High School is catching national hell for their mascot’s name

Cairo High School in Cairo, Georgia calls its teams the Syrup Makers. I'm going to make an educated guess and say the original workers in this agricultural endeavor were black slaves. If so, should the Cairo Syrup Makers change their name? Its only a rhetorical question. My mind is already made up. Makers it is.
