I tell you what—you people stop being racist and I’ll stop calling you racist. Deal, jackass?

Okay. I assume by the downvotes that you interpret the OP comments as not about black people. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK HE MEANS IF YOU’RE GOING TO DOWNVOTE ME. INDARE YOU.

Don't hold your breath on this one. And you'll get the downvotes with no explanation. I still can't figure out why some threads get deleted while many openly racist threads and comments remain.

I can honestly say that I believe the comments are not about black people. Contrary to popular belief, not every thought or decision revolves around race. How hard is it to think that maybe, JUST maybe, some people get tired of hearing about the same thing over and over and over? Sports used to be an escape from other aspects of daily life. Now we see/hear the same thing on every TV channel, every radio station, every social media post, and everywhere in between. There is no escape from it and that is where sports USED to come in. It was a way to get away from all of it.

I can assure you that im not racist one bit. Im of the opinion that shitty people come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Those are the people I dont like... the shitty ones. I actually support what the players are doing. I think that there is a LOT of room for improvement on both sides, but it has completely worn me out hearing about it every minute of every day and its beginning to fall on deaf ears. Even this website used to be immune to it for the most part. Not anymore.

Being tired of having something force fed to you, doesnt mean you automatically disagree with it or fundamentaly oppose it. We have to have an outlet somewhere to just be able to step away from it, and for most people (myself included) that was sports. Those days are gone and its sad. Now if that makes me a racist in your eyes, you need to take a step back and check the mirror. I'm an LSU fan, but I don want to watch them on every channel, every second of every day. I'd get tired of it. By your logic, that would make me a bama fan. Thats just simply not how it works. I was just thinking yesterday back to the days with Kenny Mayne and Stewart Scott on the SC desk in the mornings before school. It was highlights and commentary, usually hilarious commentary from those two. That's where the saying "cool as the filp side of the pillow" came from. Stewart Scott coined that phrase. Man, I miss those days. It was so simple.

Furthermore, what is the endgame? When does this stop? Will we ever have sports back without every single participants agenda (whichever one it may be) being forced on us? I thought the initial reasoning for the kneeling and protesting was to "bring awareness". Do you honestly think that there is a person alive to day that isnt aware of what is going on now? So whats next?
