I doubt that. Most people don't go in blind to the concluding chapter of a movie trilogy.

I had seen OT before I watched Phantom Menace and thought the latter was badass. I had just turned 12 when Episode I was released and so that movie was directly marketed at my demographic. I loved it until I was old enough to realize it had serious flaws. That having been said, I think the sequel trilogy gave me a greater appreciation for George Lucas.
