Bought it last week. I've been playing it almost exclusively since. I think it's good, but not better than CoD4.

It's fun to blow up buildings, snipe, roll in tanks and Humvees.

Also, DICE and EA are going to update the multiplayer for free with altered maps and a new mode, called Conquest (capture the flag; evidently this was a staple of Battlefield: 1942 and subsequent games) in early August.

I like it. It's a good alternative to CoD4. I'll admit that I'm not very good at B:BC, yet.

Very smooth with no lag. The extra game mode will make the game that much better.

If you really want to get it, but not at full price, check ebay and you could wind up saving about $15.

I think it's great, like the above poster mentioned its fun to use vehicles. COD4 is fun but whats a true was game without the use of vehicles, plus the ability to destroy buildings is awesome and pretty much gets rid of camping. This game is a little difficult when your new and you will prolly die a lot, but once you learn how to play it's really fun. I would say dl the demo from XBL but I believe they took it down.

I played the demo religiously. It was freakin' great.

I think B:BC won't be as popular as CoD4, but it'll hold steady in the lull between Brothers in Arms and CoDWaW.

I just never really drank the COD4 kool aid like most people. Its fun and all, but people act like its the best FPS ever..

I did to, thats what made me buy the game. I had BF2:MC on my xbox and it was decent.

The best FPS ever was GoldenEye. Hands down.

But, CoD4 is the best FPS on XBOX 360 to date, and it's the best game I've ever played online. That's just my opinion, though. I really enjoy the CoD franchise. I'd rank Brothers in Arms as a quality close second.

That game was bad arse, my friends stop playing against me because I would always rape them.

meh, I think Halo>CoD. Just because it take strategy to win, like weapon and map control. Also Halo has a true ranking system, and with CoD, if you play enough you will eventually reach the highest rank.

I'm sure that's the same for Halo. I've never played Halo 3, but I played regular Halo on the XBOX locally with some friends and I'd always get my arse kicked.

I think CoD4 has a great thing going with the perks and the marksman challenges, etc. I just wonder how the next CoD will suffer (if at all) without the modern weaponry. I mean, there only so many times they can recreate an M1 Garand or BAR and have fun with it.

It just seems like it's too soon to come out with another game.

It seems that way, but in reality it's not. It will be about a year from CoD4:MW's release when CoDWaW will be shipped (November 11).

The reason is that the Call of Duty franchise has two developers working on alternating titles. Infinity Ward did CoD4 and Treyarch (from CoD3) will be developing CoDWaW. Also, Treyarch has been working on the game for two years now, a whole year before CoD4 was even released.

CoDWaW will also be using the Modern Warfare game engine, with updated graphics and new destructible objects in the environment.

I wish they could have taken this next title to the Middle Eastern theater. Maybe do a title dedicated to Desert Storm (like the old Conflict games on the PS2 and XBOX).

I didn't realize this.

I tend to like the Russian forest/farmland maps better.

Not me. I like the urban Middle Eastern towns, like in Conflict: Desert Storms I and II. Those were fun games.

Battlefield: Bad Company has that Russian farmland feel to it. You'd probably like it.

Harvest Day is the one with the giant open field, correct?

I can't remember which one End of the Line is. I like Oasis, too.
