The destruction of the family unit in black communities has many contributing factors including mass incarceration all kinds of drug related problems particularly in the 80s and 90s.

There is a very interesting study about infants and infant bonding with parents. If babies don't bond with parents through contact and positive interaction in the first 12 months they have a very difficult time bonding the rest of their life. They don't have emotional attachments and are incapable of them. This leads to all kinds of problems.

What we are seeing now in large democrat cities is the result of a generation of nuclear families lost and the repercussions of that. There is plenty of blame to go around.
