Someone doesn’t understand the concept of sample size

THe sample size is this series.

Wrong. you can’t find anything that backs that up. B-ball ref has limited data for those years but shows Jordan’s teams always being much better when he is on the court v off.

Luka plays the vast majority of relevant minutes in close playoff games. So the sample size is tiny. It is often biased. Doncic's minutes predictably mirror Kawhi's, as most starters/stars do. Play 1st/3rd, sit for a few minutes whilst both teams scrubs play the beginning of 2nd/4th.

So when Doncic is on the bench, that means Kawhi/PG/Zubac probably are too, and the horrible defenders of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell probably on the court defending the non-Doncic Mavs, inflating their stats.

If Kawhi/PG played with Doncic on bench resting and Doncic played with Kawhi/PG on bench, it would be a bloodbath both ways. RPM was invented to control for this and give a glimpse of actual +/- vs what you would expect based on other 9 players on court. Doncic is elite in RPM. The only elite Mav.
