Write ups from nbadraftroom.com, stats are per 36 minutes

LaMelo Ball (top 5 pick)
quote:

19.6 PTS 8.7 REB 7.9 AST 0.1 BLK 1.8 STL

quote:

PG – USA – Ht – 6-7 – Wt – 180 – Wing – 6-10 – Int.01 – Point guard isn’t the biggest need for the Hornets but after moving up to no.3 they could target the media magnet that is LaMelo Ball. Ball would be the face of a franchise that is in need of an identity

Killian Hayes (top 10)

quote:

16.8 PTS 4.1 REB 7.8 AST 0.4 BLK 2.1 ST

quote:

PG – France – Ht – 6-5 – Wt – 215 – Wing – 6-7 – Int.01 – The Pistons drop to no.7 but could land Killian Hayes who fits a need and has big time upside. Killian will help give the franchise direction during the rebuild…and the Pistons will likely be near the top of the lottery again in 2021

Tyrese Haliburton (top 10)

quote:

14.9 PTS 5.8 REB 6.3 AST 0.7 BLK 2.4 STL

quote:

PG – Iowa State – Ht – 6-5 – Wt – 170 – Wing – 6-8+ – So – The Knicks bad luck continues but this could be a blessing in disguise, if they land the pro-ready Haliburton. LaMelo is the sexy name but Hali could be better early and has a much higher floor than some of the likely top 5 guys.

Cole Anthony (late lotto-mid first round pick)

quote:

19.1 PTS 5.9 REB 4.1 AST 0.3 BLK 1.4 ST

quote:

PG – UNC – Ht – 6-3 – Wt – 185 – Wing – 6-3 1/2 – Fr – Cole had a tough freshman year, struggling with his finishing at the rim and with turnovers. He’s a streaky scorer who will have a long career but might not be a star.

Kira Lewis Jr. (mid first round)

quote:

17.7 PTS 4.6 REB 5.0 AST 0.6 BLK 1.7 ST

quote:

PG – Alabama – HT: 6-3 – WT: 165 – WING: 6-7 – So. – A speedy lead guard who plays with an extra gear. Very young for his class and already playing at a high level, showing high BBIQ and playing an efficient game.

Tyrell Terry (Wide range, first round to early second round pick)

quote:

16.2 PTS 5.0 REB 3.5 AST 0.1 BLK 1.5 STL

quote:

PG – Stanford – HT: 6-2 – WT: 165 – WING: NA – Fr – A sweet-shooting guard who has a scorer’s mentality and gets his shot off quickly. A bit undersized and will struggle to guard in the League but his offensive talent is special.

I like Killian Hayes the most, but here are my notes on Lewis and Anthony:

Kira Lewis Strengths:
-Lightening quick, very good first step. One of the quickest players in recent years.

-Attacker offensively, does a good job getting to the rim, but only an average finisher (more on that later)

-Very good off ball. Moves well, understands how to make himself available. 85th percentile as spot up shooter.

-Good shooter off dribble. Can go either direction.

-Lacks elite court vision, but good enough that he’s a threat to score or facilitate with his attacking style.

-Very good ball handler in the PnR. Can score from all three levels or dish.

-Good on ball defender, quick laterally, technically sound.

-Good team defender and off ball defender, but tends to get caught ball watching.

Weaknesses:
-Plays to fast at times, needs to learn to be more patient.

-Only 165 lbs. Lack of strength hampers him. Ex: Finishing and ability to switch defensively.

-Lightning quick but not necessarily explosive. Doesn’t finish over people.

Cole Anthony Strengths:
-Scorers mentality.

-Variety of dribble moves.

-Good range and 3pt making ability. Comfortable off screens, off dribble, etc.

-Comfortable with the midrange game. Variety of floaters, runners, jumpers, etc.

-Compact ball handler, keeps ball close to body, dribble low, etc.

-Good athleticism, explosion, and size for a PG. 6’3” 190 6’5” wingspan.

-Pesky on ball defender. Has quick feet, quick hands, and reacts quickly.

-Great awareness and team defender. Does an excellent job seeing man and ball. Physical defender, does the little things a lot of the Pelicans defenders don’t.

Weaknesses:
-Numbers say he’s a poor shooter, but I think he’s better than he showed in college.

-Shot selection is really poor at times. Often thinks his shot is the best shot.

-Lacks vision, misses a lot of open teammates. Question here is did he miss them, or not have confidence in them? I think he’s a better passer than he showed at UNC, but he’s not someone who sees the game ahead. Reactionary passer.

If you would have told me 2-3 years ago that we had Jrue Holiday AND Lonzo Ball but we are looking for PG I'd think you're crazy.
