Huh?
I can't hear you over the fricking ringing in my ears.

The last time I did a pre employment hearing screen I just about went nuts in the soundproof booth.

My case is relatively mild. I'd hate to deal with severe damage.

Last year I finally made myself get my hearing checked. I delayed because I didn’t want to have to get hearing aids. I had become pretty good at a combination of reading lips and going through a list of words in my head that rhymed with what it sounded like people said until something made sense. When I was in the testing booth, I couldn’t hear hardly any high frequency beeps. She then told me to just repeat the sentences she was going to say. I thought I would do much better on this part until she held a card in front of her face so I couldn’t see her lips.

By the way, if you take the same test be careful how quickly you respond. The correct sentence is “Do you like real big cities?”
