Not even close.

Early 90's had the best BR talent. BTE would play two nights in a row (sold out) after finals at Chimes/Varsity. You still had Dash Rip Rock, the Dick Nixons until Richard died (saw their last performance), Cowboy Mouth and a lesser known band that I liked called Mean Tree (still have their CD).

The Varsity had a wide range of bands at the time from Danzig, White Zombie, 311, Sheryl Crow (actually talked to her getting off her bus that day and didn't know who she was at the time except fine as hell), David Allen Coe and a shite load of other great talent. The early 90's had some great acts in and coming through BR.

Wow! Mean Tree. Would love to get a copy of that CD. Any chance of that happening Geaux?
Also, does anyone remember Becky Sharp?
