Yeahh...opponent hits below the belt...ref don't stop it...you don't then go low. You lose. Period. "fundamental change" into a Fascist Government.

The 'Spirituality' of the above may apply; indeed, Jesus exhortation/command that we "sell all we have and give it to the poor"...or that we "turn our check" and die at the hands of evildoers (which He did)...may well bear fruit in the 'Kingdom of Heaven' (next life), but that kind of pacifist action will be handing evil the reigns in this one. And we can kiss the Bible, and the Jesus Story...and our freedom to determine our own Self...good bye.

It may be the Fermi Paradox in this particular Universe, and the Scripture "Behold, there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is destruction", may apply (to either or both Sides/Ideas)...but most good folk will NOT stand by on some 'leadership' principle, while those who enable evil do their work. Even Jesus said he was not coming "with peace, but a sword".

Bottom line: strap in.
