We’ll have to disagree. “Free” speech that results in race-based genocide isn’t just speech anymore.
Plenty of folks smarter than both of us have debated issues around the paradox of tolerance. It’s a slippery slope, for sure, when you start banning speech. I am very uneasy about it. Because then we can start mislabeling some kinds of speech as this and that and start banning it. I mean, look at the folks who claim that saying “Black Lives Matter” means that white lives don’t. Like, wut? That’s not what the statement means.

Nope, this was NOT the main response of the other side. The main response was All Lives Matter and a woman was murdered for saying it. One side is silencing speech. YOURS!!!

I’m not even upset. And I won’t be surprised when the majority of the posters on this thread say nothing about it. I mean, speech can be free. But it also can have consequences.

This is how I know you’re not prepared for this conversation: you buy into some notion that there are only two sides. And you use one instance and dismiss the fact that there are hundreds of videos of angry white people who respond in the exact way that I said—just like the dudes on this board: they think that saying and supporting “Black Lives Matter” is anti-white.
