I've been a subscriber from the start (two years ago, when everyone said it couldn't work, then Swamp Thing was "cancelled" and that was the final nail, then they stopped the live chat shows and that was the final nail, then Harley showed on SyFy and that was the final nail, then Doom Patrol showed simultaneously on HBO Max and that was the final nail, then Stargirl had showings on CW and that was the final nail...).
Whether it lasts another month or another year, it'll be a shame to see it go. I doubt that we'll get another platform that is so perfectly geared to superhero comic fans. The fact that the comic that a movie or episode was based on pops up over the credits, allowing you to click and read the comic then and there, shows that the people behind the service were doing everything to get users really interested in DC comics.
I doubt that they'll move the entire video library to HBO Max. Which is a shame, because the remastered 70's Shazam series and the DC Shorts from Cartoon Network deserve a good home. That's just the tip of the obscure iceberg that made the video selection so deep and awesome.
I'd pay $7.99 a month just for the comics. It'll suck if they built up that awesome library just to put it back on the shelf.
