First of all, good luck and God bless to all of you who have lost your jobs. The stress must be terrible, especially with a child on the way.

There are two places very few look or are considering right now:

1) USAJOBS has every government job out there.

2) The military. With a degree you will come in as an E-4 and make $2,262/month plus medical, housing, and food. They will train you in whatever you want to come in as, i.e. a new trade you can use in a few years when you get out. BTW, the medical field has great training.

Again, good luck.

1)Fed work is good if you can get it.

2)He already has a degree, he should go to OCS and come out as an O-1 rather than BCT and become an E-4 (although IIRC a B.S. will land him as a E-5, not E-4, at least in the Army). There's a wide array of enlistment bonuses atm.
