Hillary had tons of Wall Street bankers who gave her the nomination over over Bernie so they were comfortable she wasn’t going to considerably rock the boat.
Same story now with Biden.
Trump was a surprise, but a healthy surprise for the market because he even more aggressively pro-business than Hillary.
ETA: Markets were pretty volatile election night.
