Isolated Arkansas Primitive Camping

My wife and I are wanting to make a tent / primitive camping trip in late October. Preferably somewhere around the Buffalo and White river. Can anyone help me with some safe spots to go. We'll be in my Jeep, so getting there won't be a problem. We'd like to be in the North part of the Ozarks. We're planning on 4 to 5 nights. Thanks for the help.....

Look around Ponca, Jasper or Pruitt

Did this many times - there is a horseshoe bend we camped at and also Jim’s bluff. Water level varies - you’ll be crossing river to get back to good camping. Have had it easy/dry boots, ankle and thigh deep depending on weather and time of year. Fall should be lower.

Erbie Campground on the Buffalo River might be worth looking into. It’s 5 miles off of the highway on a dirt road so most people avoid it unless they’re thru floating the river. It has vault toilets but used to have running water (it’s been a while so you might want to check the water situation). There’s a large, flat rock outcropping, right on the river to just sit and watch the water go by. I’ve floated the river several times back many years ago, and this was always my favorite campsite.

Thanks for the ideas. I think We're going to down the car wash trail on Hurricane creek. At the end before you have to cross the creek, there's a little road that goes down to the creek bank. It's 100% primitive. That's more what we're looking for. I can drive my Jeep right up to it and set up camp. We have solar showers and buckets with toilet seats! It's hiking distance to Pams Grotto also.
