Looking at videos and pictures on Facebook and SWLA looks like a warzone. Not nearly the same amount of flooding like Rita but it's obvious the wind damage is way worse. Flooding is expensive to repair so I am not sure if this will be costlier but just from what I have seen this was way more pure destruction.

Parents got to their house in Hack-el-berry...man it did a number. They **had** a robust sheet metal roof that is completely gone. Trees that laughed at Rita snapped in half from Laura.
Gonna head to them as soon as "outsiders" are let in to help pick up the pieces. My mom is in shock.

Wind is better than flooding because most of time in floods you keep the same structure and redo insides. Lots of these wind damaged places you have to tear down and start all over
