I really want to hit the ping blueprint irons. But I don’t want to pay that. So I am going to continue using 712 APs for a little while longer

Went from Blades to AP2. Love the AP2s but honestly I miss hitting a blade.

I second the Apex 19's. Also consider used iron's (from a reputable source) once you know what you want. I got the Apex 19s in "Like New" condition from Callaway preowned. I got the 4-AW setup. The wraps/stickers were still on the shafts and there wasn't a mark on the clubs. I don't think they had been hit at all. Got the set for $800 instead of $1400 brand new.

Mizuno 900 series(new models coming)

Ping I210s are very popular on tour. Nice look at address and durable finish, very forgiving.

Srixon 700 series

Tour stage Irons (Bridgestone)are great if you can find them.

I haven't price Muria lately but they would be at the upper end of your budget or exceed it.

If you want outside the box, Next Level 902 irons are very sharp.

Hollow body irons are a completely different animal and take some getting use to.

I have issues with Cally and TaylorMade because they devalue their equipment every year.
