My suburban neighborhood is integrated already.
We have some great black neighbors and they don't want hood rats moving in either.
Same. There's a reason my neighbors moved into this neighborhood, and it wasn't because they're racists.

But their kids' friends from the "old neighborhood" always come over to visit, and when they do, the crime rate mysteriously increases. Plus, there seems to be a lot of nephews and nieces being sent to live with Aunty in the Nice Neighborhood, and again, boom, crime rates seem to grow up.
I live in a suburb outside of a city, and the majority of our major crime comes from that city. And when you read the news and police reports, more often than not, the hoods seem to have a local connection in our suburb: a friend that used to live in the city or a relative that now lives in our suburb.
You can't blame those parents for wanting to get their kids out of the hood. That's what good parents would do. But too often the hood follows them.
