He did not have the killer instinct or “it” factor. He found ways to lose games rather than win them.
Matt Flynn threw an interception to blow the Arkansas game in 2007. He got got the benefit of not having to play Florida and Auburn on the road and having a freak ending to the season that allowed us to sneak in the championship game.

He also had the disadvantage of having half the DL being injured for several games of the season, including Ky and Arkansas.
If my memory is correct, we had the Arkansas game won, but after the play was over, our DE roughed the Arkansas QB.
That play allowed Arkansas to continue playing.
