"The price for this freedom has been high" god damn I love Ronald Reagan
Posted on 7/25/20 at 2:22 am to Tunasntigers92
He belongs on Rushmore.

Bro you're normally based, but the hero worship of Reagan needs to stop. He oversaw the further shrinking of the American working class with trickle down economics bullshite. Please, prove me wrong. Show me how he took the American middle class BLUE COLLAR working man and strengthened their position. BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. JOBS WERE STEADILY SHIPPED OVERSEAS. He wasn't "terrible" but he's just another fricking NEO-Con. Just because he hated the reds doesn't mean he didn't largely suck off big business.

Bro I am based, what exactly are you asking me?
Posted on 7/25/20 at 2:27 am to Tunasntigers92
I'm not exactly asking anything particularly. I love a good Reagan speech now and again, especially when it comes to stomping out the marxists. I just get a little irked with the Reagan worship modern conservatives prescribe themselves to when it elevates him to a deity. Maybe this was just projection on my part, sorry. I am bad with my words.

Nah man, I understand your frustration.

It’s possible to appreciate/admire a president without worshipping him, but anyway - honest question for you. In your opinion, who’s the best president we’ve had in the last 50 years?

If I say 50 years, you'll mock me. Honestly Trump. Because he's the first President that we've had in that time that actually went to bat for the American working class. Despite his idiocy of listening to his son-in-law.
The only president that is close in the past 50 years would be Richard Nixon, because he actually said "frick Vietnam, this is untenable" and brought American soldiers home... some of his largest accomplishments in retrospect are some of our biggest undoing at this point. Relations with China; State/Local autonomy, etc. But I think Nixon actually gave a frick.
Past 100+ years, I'd go with Teddy Roosevelt because he was a real man and honestly would tell these feminists and soy bois to go frick themselves.

Prove yourself right. I agree that he was a neo-con (increase spending/debt). But he increased jobs (specifically middle class) from what I remember.
I agree, the Reagan worship is crap (no man should be worshipped), but the Reagan hate is also rife with false context and what-if-isms.
If you hate Reagan, hey, that's cool. You be you. Just back it up. I am interested to hear your side.

You're making the claim, burden of proof is on you but you're fos.

You may have missed the economic and middle class booms of the 80s but it happened

He won the fricking cold war and bitch slapped Iran, Reagan was the last President, sans Trump to actually use our military's might for the good of America and mankind.
In closing, frick you and bow your head when speaking about Ronaldous Magnus

We're not worthy to praise him. We need to defeat these fricking socialist scum, then maybe celebrate by making such a monument to him.
And Trump, too.
And Trump, too.
