Some of the members from there (I think) were in Slint and The For Carnation. This is a great album to listen to:

EitS is godly. The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place is a fricking masterpiece. That whole album is just one big existential experience. I love it.

Went and saw Maserati in Houston. They are very very good live. Was a shame their drummer died.

Holy shite. I saw them live twice in Baton Rouge. That drummer was a machine. RIP.

ETA: I didn't realize it happened a decade ago. God damn. I saw them last in like 2008. The drummer was my introduction to motorik. He was insane live.
