I think it’s more about the fact that bar scenes are usually pretty mild before 10 pm. Basically they are predicting that the clubbing crowd isn’t going to suddenly start going out at 8:00 - they’ll just stay home.

That’s actually a good strategy. The breweries and bars that cater to normal people in Houston were fine and I highly doubt “hot spots.” Most required you to be seated to be served.
The clubs on the other hand were packed full of retards and got the rest lumped into Abbott’s orders
