I'll agree, however, in 1776 the 10% were salt-of-the-earth, had .50 caliber muzzle-loaders and were represented by brilliant statesmen, who were successful farmers, barristers, merchants.
In 2020, the 10% are basically the dregs of society wielding brick-bats and frozen water-bottles represented by career politicians, and celebrity/athletes who are paid to entertain.
If that 10% can overthrow the government, I would guarantee it wouldn't take long to muster 10% with the character of the former paragraph to take it back.
