If you are pitching behind an L screen, and a ball could still barely get through the holes of the screen, would it still stop some of the balls.....yes.
What if you had 2 of those L screens in front of you?

Even better is this: if you're sick stay home.
If you are asymptomatic, the chance of spread is miniscule, since you aren't coughing.
