How crowded are the beaches in Pensacola right now? Also, has anyone been to the Hilton on Pensacola Beach? Thinking of a quick trip to the beach. Not staying a whole week and prefer avoiding condos.

I stayed there three or four years ago. It's a nice property, but I can't comment on how crowded the area is. It's not far from the public beach and has a Hampton Inn next door, so you def. aren't going to be in a "peaceful" area. It will be fine though.

Are you looking at Hilton due to a points situation? If not, you might could consider the Marriott property in Navarre Beach. It's pretty nice and somewhat new and would be less crowded.

Good information. I hadn’t heard of the Navarre property.

The reviews after covid reopening have been really negative. I got spooked and reserved the holiday inn express that's East of the center of the beach and is really nice. It's really nice and the beach is nowhere near as crowded.

There’s a new wing and an old wing at the Hilton. The new wing is all suites and pretty nice....The old wing, not so much. If your in the old wing (elevators right next to the front desk), I’d ask if they have any upgrades available.

Tigers13 - I'm definitely getting a suite if I stay there. Do you know if all suites are in the new wing?

Been going to Pensacola for years. I went two weeks ago could tell there was less people, not as many cars and was able to get into town and back on the island easy.

I believe so. I think the old wing is just standard hotel rooms. The suites have a nook with bunk beds which is pretty nice if you have kids.

Fully agree. All rooms face the ocean and beach is not crowded. Food options two years ago were limited. Not many restaurants so unsure what it would be like now but great spot overall.
