Chinch bugs will leave green spots in the middle.
OP, did you apply some sort of weed and feed?
Look at that upper edge by the sidewalk. Look like good green grass about like a row of sod laid.

Chinch bugs eat indiscriminately. The wouldn't purposefully leave a green spot in the middle. Irregular borders leaving dead grass in their path. While not great looking there is too much green to be chinch bugs.
