Violating the secrecy agreements he voluntarily signed makes him a traitor. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Doesn't mean he was wrong.

Nah. That means he’s a criminal. There’s a difference.
Had he covertly sold the info to Russia/China/et al then he would be a traitor.

And why were there secrecy agreements he had to sign prior to his employment with the NSA??
A traitor to whom? Certainly not his country.
