Unless she has bad asthma or COPD she isn’t being affected physically by the mask. She may be working herself up emotionally to the point of hyperventilating but the mask isn’t causing her to not be able to breathe.

She has asthma and is not the type to complain about anything. The mask does not keep her from breathing, but it does poison the air she breathes over time.
